Liposuction
Lipoplasty
Liposuction (lipoplasty) is a plastic surgery procedure aimed at body contouring by suctioning deposits of subcutaneous fat through a suction cannula connected to a device that creates a vacuum. Prior to the liposuction, a tumescent solution is injected into the subcutaneous tissue to facilitate the suctioning of the fat, reduce blood loss, and reduce post-operative discomfort, swelling and bruising. It is performed through small, several millimetre incisions.
