Deep Plane Rhytidectomy

A facelift is a plastic surgery procedure aimed at facial rejuvenation. It is suitable for those who have a flabby face with loose skin and sagging subcutaneous structures. A facelift can generally be performed on anyone after the age of 45, when the signs of aging on the face occur.

Deep plane facelift represents the most effective method of surgical facial rejuvenation. During the surgery, the sagging superficial musculo-aponeurotic system of the face (SMAS) is released and lifted through a discreet incision around the ear, also the sagging facial skin is lifted and its excess is removed. In addition to lifting, the face also regains its original volume by moving the facial anatomical structures into the correct higher position.

To achieve a better aesthetic result, in most cases it is necessary to combine a facelift with a neck lift, a brow lift, or other facial surgical procedures such as eyelid surgery, lip lift, or facial fat grafting.
