Aesthetic Rhinoplasty
Aesthetic rhinoplasty is a nose surgery in which the nose is aesthetically altered. Aesthetic rhinoplasty eliminates anatomical deviations (e.g. nasal hump, nasal curvature), reduces the nose, or sculpts the nasal tip. Aesthetic rhinoplasty may also include surgical correction of a deviated nasal septum (septoplasty).
The most modern surgical techniques are performed through an open approach (open rhinoplasty) – a small transverse incision at the lower edge of the nasal septum and through the nostrils. The open approach allows delicate surgical manoeuvres under direct visual control.
